Account Deletion Request
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your shopping lists, user profile, and associated data will be permanently removed.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your ShoppingList Star account, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a Shopping List
In the ShoppingList Star app, create a new shopping list and name it exactly:
"delete account"
This list will serve as your deletion request identifier.
Step 2: Send an Email
After creating the list, send an email to:
Please include the following information in your email:
- Your account email address or user ID
- Confirmation that you have created a shopping list named "delete account"
- Any additional information that may help us identify your account
Processing Time
Once we receive your email and verify the deletion request list in your account, your account will be deleted within 3 business days.
What Gets Deleted:
- All your shopping lists
- Your user profile information
- Your authentication account
- All associated data stored in our system
You will also be removed as a collaborator from any lists owned by other users.
Before You Delete
Before requesting account deletion, please consider:
- Exporting or backing up any shopping lists you want to keep
- Notifying any collaborators that you will be removed from shared lists
- Understanding that this action cannot be reversed
